Submission for regular abstracts is closed. The system is only available for submission of Late Breaking Abstracts! Submit your late breaking abstract here.
Acceptance notification date
All abstract submitters have been informed about acceptance of their abstracts. Submitters of late breaking abstracts are generally notified within 1 week following submission. At this point it is not likely (but not excluded) that late breaking abstracts can still be accepted for oral presentation, as all timeslots for oral presentations are full.
The presentation method (A) Poster and ePoster only or B) oral & poster & ePoster) will be notified in the week of 13 April 2025.
Poster board orientation: ‘portrait’
Dimensions for your poster: A0: (width: 84.1cm / 33.1 in; height: 118.9cm / 46.8 in)
Pins to mount the posters will be provided on site.
Posters can be mounted on 11 June, and should be up on 12 and 13 June. They should be removed on 14 June.
ePoster instructions will be provided in the notification letter. All abstract presenters should prepare an ePoster.
LATE-BREAKING ABSTRACT CRITERIA
The work and/or update must be novel, ground-breaking, of high significance, evidence-based and with scientific merit. The abstract must present timely findings which were not available at the time of the regular abstract submission deadline (Sunday 9 February 2025). The late-breaking abstract deadline is not intended to be a second deadline for abstract submissions. A limited number of late-breaking abstracts will be accepted.
Late Breaking Abstracts can be submitted until shortly before the congress, although the availability of poster boards cannot be guaranteed if submitted and reviewed after 1 June 2025. We cannot guarantee oral presentation time.

ABSTRACT PRESENTATION METHODS:
1. Oral abstract presentations
Authors from selected abstracts who attend in-person are invited to present their work (live) in several symposia, workshops or in the free communication sessions.
2. Poster board presentations
All authors from accepted abstracts will be asked to bring a printed poster and mount this to a poster board. Poster viewing will occur during the coffee and lunch breaks. Poster presenters will be asked to be available at their poster board for questions as much as possible.
3. ePoster platform
In-person and virtual attendants will be required to upload their ePoster to our ePoster Showcase. ePoster viewing on this special platform will open shortly before the congress, and can be accessed at all time during the event. Our ePoster showcase will allow you to add audio and video to your presentation. You can see a few examples of this in the Showcase.
There will be no moderated (e-)poster sessions for virtual participants.
HOW TO SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT
Abstract Submission Details and Guidelines
Authors are welcome to submit up to 3 abstracts as presenting author for an oral or a poster presentation. Authors can be co-authors on multiple abstracts.
Structure of the abstract
Please adhere to this structure in order to be admitted for reviewing:
Introduction
Objectives
“Patients & methods” or “Materials & methods”
Results
Conclusion
For a case report abstract, include 1) Introduction or background, 2) Clinical case and 3) Conclusion(s)
Review and Notification
The Program Committee members will review the abstracts and make the selection for poster and oral presentations. First you will receive the notification about abstract acceptance. The notification about the definitive method of presentation will follow a bit later, before the early bird registration deadline. Abstracts of unregistered (unpaid) authors cannot be presented at the abstract and will not be included in our Abstract Book (an issue of the Euro-CNS Journal Clinical Neuropathology).
Publication of abstracts
The accepted abstracts of registered presenters will be published in an online supplement issue of the Euro-CNS journal “Clinical Neuropathology“. This issue will be published as a free open access article. A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) will be assigned to it in order to facilitate access to the URL, where the complete issue can be downloaded.
About Late Breaking abstracts: Late breaking abstracts submitted after 28 April may not be published in the Abstract Book, but will be included in our online version of the Abstract Book, and also have opportunity for ePoster presentation and Poster board presentation. The option for oral presentations will become more limited as the program is finalized (expected by mid April).
