Welcome Reception at the MECC
Right after the Opening Ceremony on Wednesday 11 June, all participants are welcome to mingle and enjoy the opportunity to network and establish their presence in our neuropathology community. Enjoy the reception with a snack and a drink, and use it as a platform for making first impressions that count. With everyone more relaxed, you can chat about common interests and initiate meaningful conversations, and even kick-start potential collaborations! The Welcome reception is complimentary for registered delegates and exhibitors.

7-8 pm: Access to the Museum & Reception
8-10 pm: 4-course dinner in the restaurant and in the Cupola tower (ground floor).

The Bonnefanten Museum is Maastricht’s cultural hotspot and hosts an impressive collection of old masters and modern and contemporary art. The iconic building was designed by Italian architect Aldo Rossi. The Museum offers three floors for collection presentations and distinctive temporary exhibitions. The old masters on display include works by mediaeval sculptor Jan van Steffeswert, and early Netherlandish and Italian paintings. The modern and contemporary art collections consist of artworks by internationally renowned artists, with a historically grown focus on movements such as Concept Art, Minimal Art and Arte Povera. The museum is also committed to artists working in the region around Maastricht. The building is a splendid addition to the skyline of Maastricht, along the river Meuse. Featuring the monumental Treppenstraße (stairs) that leads to the exhibition rooms and to the Cupola- tower, its undisputed highlight.
